In Juggler's Jam each player is a juggler attempting to perform the best tricks. All actions are based on 'confidence' points. You need confidence to play tricks and place new items into your juggling pattern and you gain confidence at the start of each turn by adding the values of tricks and objects you have in your 'pattern.'Other jugglers are trying to disrupt your pattern and force to drop your items and start over.
